About Me

Lewis Picard delivering a talk

I am an experimental atomic, molecular, and optical physicist. My research focuses on quantum computing and simulation with individual atoms and molecules in optical tweezers.

Currently, I am a David and Ellen Lee Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Endres Lab at Caltech, where I explore quantum science with arrays of neutral Strontium atoms. Previously, I completed my PhD in the Ni Lab at Harvard University, where I worked on demonstrating the first entangling quantum gate between two qubits encoded in individual molecules in optical tweezers.

I am passionate about communicating quantum science and understanding how quantum research and society interact. I have taught and given talks to audiences ranging from high school students to academic physicists.
